Our Milwaukee-based crews carry the parts and the know-how to get your air moving again today. Priority scheduling available across Milwaukee and the surrounding zip codes.
Our Milwaukee dispatcher asks a few quick questions to gauge urgency and get you the fastest available window.
You'll get a flat-rate quote before any repair work begins — no guessing what the final bill will look like.
Most repairs are completed same-visit, and we test the system before we leave to confirm it's actually holding.
Leonard HVAC was built by technicians who got tired of watching homeowners get oversold. We invest in ongoing training so our techs recognize a failing capacitor, a cracked heat exchanger, or a refrigerant leak before it turns into an emergency.
We're not the biggest name in Milwaukee — we're the team that shows up in the truck, not a subcontractor we've never met. Every job we run is backed by full liability coverage and current state licensing, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, routine or emergency.
We know which neighborhoods run on older ductwork and which subdivisions were built with newer high-efficiency systems. That local knowledge shapes how we diagnose problems — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Too many homeowners in Milwaukee have a story about a tech who showed up late, quoted one price, and charged another. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. Every dispatcher, every technician, and every follow-up call is held to the same standard, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Milwaukee is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
Our office team is based locally too, not routed through an out-of-state call center that's never seen a Milwaukee rooftop unit. It also means faster escalation when something's urgent — a local dispatcher can reroute the nearest truck in minutes, not hours.
Every service below is backed by the same licensing, warranty, and upfront pricing you get on any job we run.
A dead system in the middle of a heat wave or a cold snap isn't just inconvenient — it can be a real safety issue for kids, pets, and older residents. Our Milwaukee dispatch team prioritizes no-heat and no-cooling calls so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
If a specialty part genuinely does need to be ordered, we'll set up a safe temporary fix and give you a real timeline instead of leaving you guessing.
Not every repair call ends in a repair — sometimes the honest recommendation is a properly sized replacement. We walk Milwaukee homeowners through efficiency ratings and how they translate into real monthly savings before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
We protect floors and entryways during the install and haul away the old equipment so you're not left dealing with disposal.
A retail floor, a restaurant kitchen, or an office suite can't run without stable climate control. Our commercial division services light industrial and warehouse ventilation across Milwaukee, with service agreements built around your operating hours.
We understand that a commercial call isn't just about comfort, it's about keeping a business open.
Most emergency breakdowns start as a small, ignorable warning sign months earlier. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle humidifier, dehumidifier, and air purifier installation for Milwaukee households that want more than just temperature control.
We'll show you photos of anything concerning we find, along with a plain-language explanation of what it means and whether it's urgent.
We'd rather set clear expectations upfront than make vague promises we can't back up.
If the same issue returns within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no additional labor cost.
We quote a flat rate before work begins and that number doesn't change once you approve it.
A technician doesn't consider the job done until the system is tested and performing correctly.
A little attention to how your system is running can save you a lot of money and discomfort.
Rattling during startup often means a component has worked itself loose and needs tightening before it causes real damage.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
A tune-up often identifies exactly what's driving the extra energy use.
This is one of the warning signs we recommend not waiting on.
A burning smell should never be ignored — it can indicate an electrical issue that needs immediate attention.
Repeated repairs on an aging system are usually the clearest sign that replacement will save more money than another patch job.
We explain diagnostic fees and repair estimates before authorizing work.
Because our trucks are stationed near Milwaukee, we're rarely far from your address.
If something isn't right after we leave, we come back and make it right.
We run background checks because you're letting someone into your home.
We explain what failed, why it failed, and what the options are.
We'll walk you through what's actually available before you decide.
We don't write these — our customers do.
"I called three other companies first and this was the only one that actually picked up. Fixed on the first visit and explained everything in terms I could actually understand."
"We've used them for our maintenance plan for two years now and never had a surprise breakdown. Techs are always polite, always on time, and clean up after themselves."
"Explained the sizing calculation so I understood why they weren't just installing the same unit again. Followed up a week later just to check everything was still running fine."
"Our restaurant's rooftop unit went down on a Friday night and they had someone out fast. Documentation for our records was thorough and easy to file."
"The estimate matched the final invoice exactly, down to the dollar. My energy bill dropped noticeably the first month with the new system."
"Called at 11pm during a heat wave and honestly didn't expect anyone to pick up, let alone show up. No overnight surcharge shock — the price matched what dispatch quoted me on the phone."
None of these are unusual or embarrassing — they're just the normal wear and tear that comes with running a system through Milwaukee's seasonal swings.
The shift between peak heating and peak cooling demand is exactly when older or neglected equipment tends to fail. Before the coldest stretch of the year, a heating system benefits from a full safety inspection, checking the heat exchanger, ignition system, and airflow to catch any issue that could turn into a no-heat emergency.
Setting a programmable or smart thermostat to a consistent schedule reduces the number of times the system has to work hard to catch up to a big temperature swing. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
Our technicians train across the major residential and commercial equipment lines, so you're not limited to a single brand's service network. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
We don't outsource dispatch to a call center that's never met our technicians.

Ask about financing during your in-home estimate to see what fits your situation.
Most Milwaukee homes benefit from two tune-ups a year — one before cooling season and one before heating season.
If you smell gas or burning, shut off the system at the breaker and step outside, then call us immediately.
Our pricing is explained clearly before dispatch, and any after-hours consideration is communicated upfront — never as a surprise on the final invoice.
Most standard repairs are completed in under two hours once the technician has diagnosed the issue and you've approved the quote.
For commercial accounts or rental properties, a designated point of contact or property manager can coordinate access instead.
Housing stock varies a lot across Milwaukee — older homes often still run original ductwork that needs different care than the sealed, high-efficiency systems going into newer builds.
We also work regularly with homeowners associations, property management companies, and multi-unit buildings throughout Milwaukee.
We accept standard payment methods for repairs and smaller jobs, and we'll always tell you upfront what a given service is likely to cost so there's no last-minute scramble to figure out payment. If a rebate or local incentive program applies to your Milwaukee installation, our technicians will flag it during the estimate rather than leaving you to track it down after the fact.
